Thank You And Welcome To Our Retreat in the Yucatan Jungle

SUMMARY

Our retreat is in the jungle — away from the hustle and bustle. A location that puts you directly in contact with nature in the most raw and inescapable way.

Only a return to nature can truly restore. Only through expert guidance can we find the space to transform.

We all need and deserve a regular full recharge — and the 5 Elements Retreat will tap the roots of transformative renewal.

By exploring your relation to the 5 symbolic elements (earth, air, water, fire, ether), one per day, you will go deeper and create more space for restorative awareness than ever before.

description

Set within the grounds of a gorgeous nature reserve near Valladolid you will be guided through a series of experiences that tantalize your sense as they renew your resilience.

Over 5 days we will explore the 5 elements used by our ancestors as the metaphors of experience, energies and personality traits.

Earth — get down and dirty with Mother Earth, explore the ecology of Finca San Luis, with its day time activity of birds and butterflies, and the mesmerizing sounds of the jungle by night. Including an authentic Mayan cooking experience, expressive art workshop, games, and a camp fire with deep conversation and playful music.

Water — A visit to our local semi-private open cenote. No trail of tourists will disturb our peace. It will be just our group, where we can hold a meditative ceremony besides (or in) the water with Tibetan sound bowls. Our evening session will focus on the fluidity of building emotional resilience through a deeper understanding of how techniques such as EFT and NLP function with live demos and space to experiment.

Air — Take a long hike around the Jungle property or go on a half-day tour to the ancient Mayan ruins at Ek Balam. Return for sessions on breathwork, sound healing, and then reflect as a group while star gazing up at the perfectly clear night time sky.

Fire — Take the day to prepare yourself energetically for a long evening of fire breathing meditation, cacao ceremony and large campfire — and the grand finale of group conversations.

Ether — Rounding off your retreat experience with a silent group walk around the aviary (bird house), integrating new awareness and restoration, followed by a Tarot workshop for those interested to explore the psychology of symbols.

Imagine:

Opening your eyes you become serenely aware of the gentle light shining through the tee-pee top of the large glamping tent. Remembering that you're not alone, pulling yourself out of slumber you greet your retreat companions.

Primed by the opening ceremony and evening activities the night before, feeling excited for the first full day of the retreat ahead — you wash, dress, and head for yoga and meditation before breakfast.

Your retreat experience spans two vital layers of renewal: accentuating the positives of your authentic, joyful and powerful self... and eliminating the negatives of trapped desires, resentments, disappointments, and gaps in confidence.

Remember your moments of bliss. The ecstasy of orgasm or the satisfaction of magical experience with loved ones. Realizations from meditation, or cozy-ing away in your favorite location enraptured by a good book.

Tune in to times of lack and limitation. Chores, stresses, distractions from purpose — or those pesky niggling traumas that pull us away from inner alignment.

Supported by a nonjudgmental and deeply introspective container, you experience a broad range of modalities, from sound healing, to resilience training, to unique forms of shadow work and self-expression.

Methodologies selected and streamlined by a multidisciplinary team of professionals and long-term healers.

program
PROGRAM Q&A

What is the goal of the retreat?

Renewing authentic connection to your deepest and most genuine bliss within the embrace of nature.

Through a series of workshops, experiences, therapy sessions, group conversations, fireside chats, and optional one-to-one consultations, we will build a uniquely transformative and rejuvenating experience.

Bring your mental and emotional baggage. Bring your questions, your tensions, your aspirations. Bring your raw and authentic self and be prepared to reveal, heal, and renew.

What is sound healing?

Immersive sound experience with over 20 instruments that allows the body and the mind to relax and integrate the previous work.

What is the bat cave challenge?

The camazotz batcave challenge is a symbolic endurance and resilience test for the shadow work we need to do — multiple times in our life — for mental, emotional or spiritual rebirth.

This challenge provides an entirely new format for healing old wounds and renewing inner strength to advance into the next chapter of your life with sheer will, clarity and pure might.

There are 4 phases of exercise in the challenge, done while sitting alone inside the little limestone cave we have on the property.

Some people find this process emotionally challenging. It is optional for all retreat attendees. Do you dare to face your naked truth?

To reconnect your best self and live your best life from this moment forward — through uplifting cycles of renewal.

What is the breathwork?

Achieving a high state of consciousness through a professionally guided breathing technique, supports our brain to disconnect from obsessive thinking, and re-connect to the highest version of ourselves.

What happens in a silent walk?

Silence has great power, it can calm our mind, with silence we think clearly, it is a very powerful communication technique with others. Some of its benefits are; connect with the present and personal actions, release consciousness, relax the mind, develop self-awareness, listen to oneself without external influences, make thoughtful decisions, experience inner peace and renew energy.

A mindful practice that allows the mind to empty itself as our energy is focused on moving quietly through the environment. Our breathing must be settled and controlled- no huffing and puffing.

Fire breathing meditation & cacao ceremony

A guided breathing technique with an opening heart center medicine called cacao that prepares the body to receive the change that occurs when we connect deeply to our breath and body.

What is Kirtan?

A chanting that is carried out alongside instruments, such as cymbals, harmonium or drums.

What is therapeutic Tarot?

The Tarot is a resource that acts as a trigger for meditation, reflection and contemplation. It allows the analysis of problems and the clarification of the decisions to be made, since the symbols it handles were taken from the experiences that human beings have had on earth through centuries and that are repeated. It will delve into the major arcana to better understand the personal and soul chart according to the participants' date of birth and decipher the connection between what you came to do on earth (personal card) and your spiritual purpose (soul card).

What is the resilience workshop?

Guided by a Heartmath and mBIT certified resilience coach, and certified EFT practitioner, we will explore the physiology, philosophy, and practicalities of building deep central nervous system resilience via a specific combination of easy to do self practices.

We aim to strike the right balance between effort and rest, focus and down time, energy and education. Join us for just a week or a full month of programs that will edutain, renew, and transform.

Edutainment

We blend education with entertainment. Our hands-on approach mixes realities between nature, digital tech, community connection, and your inner attention. Expect to focus hard through the event schedule while we find time and space to have a lot of fun too.

Renewal

We all need to reset every once in a while. Camazotz Finca is the perfect off-grid location to really and truly get away from it all. We are in a remote area in a registered nature reserve that lets you rediscover your connection to the true rhythm of life, no matter which of our event programs you choose.

Transformation

You will not leave Camazotz Finca the same person. Our programs, the environment, our facilitators, and our land stewards, ensures that you will have a transformative opportunity through solitary time, our event schedule, group experiences, and one-to-one conversations.

Costs & Quality

We're aiming to find a good balance by keeping program pricing low enough to be accessible, yet still provide for the quality we all deserve, including experts trainers, materials, facilities, food, etc

Daily Schedule

We co-ordinate event sessions around feeding times and weather changes.

Depending on the exact program, something like a morning session, a mid-day break (11am to 3pm), and an afternoon session.

We expect the daily schedule to suit the majority of attendees, and we're open to individual requirements (such as having online work that you need to attend to).

Plenty of time to rest, take a siesta, or sit around and share with fellow guests and program facilitators.
