If you have looked into 'intentional community' or 'co-living' or 'regenerative movement' or any such attempt towards better living conditions for small groups of people...

...then you may be acutely aware of the simultaneous challenge to empower contributors to be themselves and make their own decisions...

...at the same time as having clear and sufficient direction to get the right things done well enough for the entire group and the overall purpose.

Not an easy juggling act.

And a learning curve that we are going through at Camazotz Finca as part of the early foundation stages for the Camazotz Collective.

The finca (spanish for country estate) is off-grid, which presents many challenges, such as water supply (a 50ft well), electricity supply (solar), food supply (having to drive into town for groceries).

We also have limited budget and not much infrastructure as a starting point — so prioritizing where treasury is focused amidst an infinite amount of opportunity is another key challenge.

Then there's the 'people management'. Different energies, different personalities, different skill sets, different expectations, different interests, different attitudes. And those people may only be on-site briefly, on and off, or at a distance (online only for now).

By what grace of the gods can we possibly achieve a semblance of good quality management that serves all people and achieves the organizational purpose in a time efficient manner?

This mini-course captures our current approaches and perspectives. We are producing this course not only to serve you, but also to help us capture details for ourselves to help us refine and advance.

Let's now go through a 'gushing perspective' about our current perspective for Good Co-Living Governance.
