Gavriel arrived on site on his birthday 19th September 2022. A week later the first volunteer arrived. And it's been a rotating door of volunteers coming and going since then.
In light of the challenges mentioned in the introduction of juggling different people's energy, expectations, skills, weaknesses, and interests, here's Gavriel's view right now.
People are uncomfortable with being accountable.
Being a self-starter is the best possible quality for an early-stage community member.

We had a loose schedule for Holacracy style catchups.
The Holacracy system is welcomed by people because it helps move them towards empowered ownership and decision-making, but it does not seem sufficient to prevent overwhelm of such open and independent decision-making.
Thus, more order seems to be required. And the Toyota Kata, when done diligently, should provide that structure.
